Community Fabric Summer Program
In collaboration with EMBARC and the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Youth Employment Program, Community Fabric will train 6 female youth, ages 16-21, in entrepreneurship and marketing through sewing projects. This summer program will empower and engage high school refugee girls through sewing. In addition, the program will develop work readiness skills for the youth while at the same time supporting families in the community in linguistic and financial understanding. One of the projects the girls will make are superhero capes for themselves and for Courage League Sports. To learn more about capes for Courage League Sports click here.
